Laser Therapy and Physical Rehabilitation

One of the most vital services in veterinary care is pain management. We all want to keep our pets happy and comfortable, and one of the key factors in doing so is managing any pain they may have. We have the means to accomplish that! The KinVet team has recently introduced laser therapy as an alternative form of treatment for pain, inflammation, and injuries. It can be used instead of, or in conjunction with traditional pain management such as medications. How does it work? Explained simply, a hand piece is gently pressed against or passed above the affected area of the patient, this sends special light waves into the cells of the affected tissue that triggers something called ‘photobiomodulation’ which stimulates electrons and promotes the cell to grow and regenerate faster. Think of it like a plant absorbing light from the sun to energize their cells!

We also offer physical rehabilitation therapy! Starting with an initial assessment appointment our team comes up with a customized exercise plan and routine for your pet to gently start increasing their range of motion and strength. Physical rehab can bolster your pets quality of life by easing their pain and improving their mobility and independence!

We have seen tremendous success with with both of these therapies in our patients!
