Here at Kincardine Veterinary Services we strive to ensure that every client and patient has as positive of an experience as possible! It’s no secret that the veterinarians isn’t most pets favourite place to be, but we’ve joined the fear free movement in the hopes to change that! All our team members are fear free certified and have been specially trained to handle and care for our patients in a comforting and stress free way. We take great care to make our exams happy, ensuring that each individual patient gets time to familiarize themselves with us, all while we read their body language and monitor for any signs of fear, stress, and/or anxiety. We make use of calming pheromones in our exam rooms for canines and felines, high reward treats and toys, and utilize a numbing cream called Emla to avoid patients feeling the poke of the needle during vaccinations, blood collections, and IV catheter placements. We truly want all of our patients to feel happy and safe in our care.
